Seminar - Rob Lycett - working with the brief

This weeks seminar we were given pieces of text and annotated them to find relations to the collide brief that we had recently been given in studio. We were each given one sheet and then we would swap them in a group so that we would end up with different thoughts and interpretations of each text.

So in the pieces of text we were looking for links to happiness, future self and the digital age. I found this difficult at first as some pieces of text were more obvious than others, and if I'm honest I didn't fully know what I was looking for in some cases.

I did find it useful to see what other peoples interpretations were in comparison to my own thoughts. This reminded me of the theory from the start of the year in relation to open works, each piece of text was open to interpretation which is why they got different responses.

Thoughts
I found it interesting to  carry out this task, and I would potentially do it again so I can improve as I found it quite hard at first to know what to look for. This will help me when I'm researching and knowing what to look at and for.
