As mentioned before, I wanted to experiment with the logo and first page more as I didn’t think it was quite right yet. The colour scheme was working but I wasn’t sure about having imagery in the logo. In terms of incorporating it into the app layout I thought it was better to have a slimline logo as it’s easier to fit it into different spaces.
This is why I have chosen to go with the logo which is just text based, and although it is quite long it will work better than the other two options. Also I think it gives a bigger impact on the viewer as it appears bolder.
